While the control over setting laws and directives of Elections is centralized to these entities, every county in the State of Ohio has a Board of Elections that operates on behalf of the citizens in that respective county, administrated by four Board Members, two Democrats and two Republicans that are appointed by the Ohio Secretary of State upon recommendation by the county political parties. The Board Offices are then operated by bipartisan teams of Democrats and Republicans, ensuring that both parties are represented in the Election Process.
