TORONTO, OH – Chairman Frankie DiCarlantonio of the Jefferson County Democratic Party has announced that they have filled the vacant council-at-large seat for the City of Toronto created by the resignation of AJ Hunt in November.

The committee has named Steven Rebich to be the new councilman-at-large for the city.

“I am excited that we have made this appointment because Steven has already been so involved with the community that we are now able to use his ideas and energy to make the City of Toronto the best that it can be,” said DiCarlantonio.

Rebich is no stranger to the community, holding various positions including:

  • Coaching Toronto Youth Basketball for 5 years
  • Coaching Toronto Titans since 2011
  • Serving as Secretary of the Ohio Valley Youth Football League for the 2016/2017 term
  • Coaching Basketball at Toronto High School
  • Coaching the Junior High Boys Basketball coach
  • Coaching high school football for Toronto High School.

“Mr. Rebich will be sworn in and seated in his new council seat this upcoming Monday, December 18th, 2017 in order to finish business for the 2017 year for the City of Toronto,” commented DiCarlantonio. “His swearing in ceremony will happen shortly before the 7:00 PM meeting.”
