STEUBENVILLE, OH – Chairman Frankie DiCarlantonio of the Jefferson County Democratic Party has announced that the party is searching for applicants to fill an open Council-At-Large seat in the City of Toronto.
“The resignation of Councilman-At-Large, AJ Hunt, creates an opening for his current term which runs until December 31st, 2017, and his upcoming term beginning January 1st, 2018. The person appointed to the seat will remain in the seat for the full two year term,” said DiCarlantonio.
A committee consisting of the four Central Committee members from the City of Toronto has been commissioned by Chairman DiCarlantonio to interview and appoint a replacement.
“The committee will be accepting applications from qualified Democratic electors from the City of Toronto,” commented DiCarlantonio. A qualified elector lives and votes in the City of Toronto and must be a registered Democrat. “A resume and letter of intent is required to apply for the position and can be sent to Diane Julio at 502 W Fernwood Drive, Toronto, OH 43964,” said DiCarlantonio.
The deadline to apply with the required documents is December 8th, 2017. Interviews will be conducted by the committee on December 14th, 2017. Interview times will be coordinated with the applicants. The interviews will be closed to the general public.
“The committee will announce their appointment after the interviews have been completed on December 14th, 2017. The appointee will be sworn in the following Monday, December 18th, 2017 to fill the current term,” said DiCarlantonio.
